Sta\u0165 pozost\u00e1va zo troch pr\u00edslov\u00ed v podobe prirovnania a\u00a0posledn\u00fd ver\u0161 je napomenut\u00edm pred un\u00e1hlenou chv\u00e1lou. Re\u010d je sk\u00fa\u0161obn\u00fdm kame\u0148om kval\u00edt \u010dloveka (v. 8) a\u00a0\u010dlovek s\u00e1m zodpoved\u00e1 za to, ako uva\u017euje a hovor\u00ed. Re\u010d odha\u013euje na\u0161e vn\u00fatro \u010dloveka a\u00a0je priamym d\u00f4sledkom kultiv\u00e1cie srdca a\u00a0mysle. Kr\u00edza a\u00a0s\u00fa\u017eenie odhal\u00ed spravodlivos\u0165 prim\u00e1rne viazan\u00fa na re\u010d, ako pec prever\u00ed v\u00fdrobky hrn\u010diara (v. 6). V\u00a0nap\u00e4t\u00fdch \u010dasoch covidu a\u00a0teraz vojny, ke\u010f prenik\u00e1 do slov a s\u0155dc zlo nen\u00e1visti, ned\u00f4very Bohu, nerozli\u0161ovania dobra a\u00a0zla, zlo l\u017e\u00ed a\u00a0prekr\u00facania pravdy, je treba sa br\u00e1ni\u0165! V\u00e1\u017eme slov\u00e1 vyjadren\u00e9 \u00fastne alebo p\u00edsomne. Hl\u00fape a nen\u00e1vistn\u00e9 slov\u00e1 sa nedaj\u00fa stiahnu\u0165. Podobenstv\u00e1 s\u00fa rozvinut\u00fdmi prirovnaniami odpozorovan\u00fdmi zo \u017eivota a\u00a0pr\u00edrody a\u00a0prin\u00e1\u0161aj\u00fa svie\u017ei poh\u013eadom na be\u017en\u00e9 skuto\u010dnosti. Svoj\u00edm dialekticko-argumentat\u00edvnym postupom poskytuj\u00fa ur\u010dit\u00e9 hodnotenie, ktor\u00e9 m\u00e1 posluch\u00e1\u010d aplikova\u0165 na svoju situ\u00e1ciu. Je\u017ei\u0161 tu kriticky rie\u0161i ot\u00e1zku, ako sa d\u00e1 spozna\u0165 n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fd vodca a\u00a0opr\u00e1vnenos\u0165 jeho n\u00e1roku vies\u0165 in\u00fdch? D\u00e1va odpove\u010f v\u00a0dvoch smeroch: pre t\u00fdch, \u010do ved\u00fa a\u00a0n\u00e1rokuj\u00fa si by\u0165 u\u010dite\u013emi (v. 39-42) a\u00a0pre t\u00fdch, \u010do s\u00fa veden\u00ed (v. 43-45). Kto chce vies\u0165 in\u00fdch, nesmie by\u0165 slep\u00fd, ale u\u010denliv\u00fd a\u00a0a\u017e ke\u010f bude ma\u0165 jasn\u00fd poh\u013ead a\u00a0\u010dist\u00e9 srdce, m\u00f4\u017ee vies\u0165 in\u00fdch. Je\u017ei\u0161 odv\u00e1\u017ene varuje vodcov pred pokrytectvom. Prv\u00e1 ot\u00e1zka \u201ePre\u010do vid\u00ed\u0161 smietku v oku svojho brata, a vo vlastnom oku brvno nezbad\u00e1\u0161?\u201c sa usiluje odvies\u0165 poh\u013ead od bratovho zlyhania a\u00a0dovies\u0165 \u010dloveka k\u00a0poznaniu svojho zlyhania. Pre slovo brvno m\u00e1 gr\u00e9\u010dtina slovo <em>dokos<\/em>, \u010do je kon\u0161truk\u010dn\u00fd prvok, na ktorom v\u0161etko stoj\u00ed. V\u00a0druhej ot\u00e1zke so zrete\u013eom na vlastn\u00e9 zlyhanie: \u201eAko m\u00f4\u017ee\u0161 poveda\u0165 svojmu bratovi: \u201cBrat m\u00f4j, dovo\u013e, vyberiem ti smietku, \u010do m\u00e1\u0161 v oku,\u201d ke\u010f vo svojom vlastnom oku brvno nevid\u00ed\u0161?\u201c Je\u017ei\u0161 zamedzuje \u013eahkov\u00e1\u017enej a\u00a0falo\u0161nej n\u00e1prave brata a\u00a0povzbudzuje vodcu k\u00a0pokornej n\u00e1prave seba sam\u00e9ho. Ten \u010do vedie in\u00fdch mus\u00ed by\u0165 \u201edobr\u00fd \u010dlovek\u201c (6,45). Tak\u00fd sa spozn\u00e1 pod\u013ea skutkov a\u00a0slov, ako sa spozn\u00e1 strom pod\u013ea ovocia. Je\u017ei\u0161 kladie obraznou re\u010dou jasn\u00fd d\u00f4raz na to, \u017ee ka\u017ed\u00fd z\u00a0n\u00e1s je zodpovedn\u00fd za stav a v\u00fdvoj svojich n\u00e1zorov a postojov, teda za stav a o\u010distu svojho vn\u00fatra a\u00a0i za svoju vieru &#8211; jej ovocie a\u00a0vonkaj\u0161ie prejavy.
